I’ve had a mechanical breakdown. How do I start a claim?
If you experience a mechanical breakdown, take the following steps:
- Prevent Further Damage Immediately stop your vehicle if necessary and take all reasonable measures to prevent further damage. If needed, call for roadside assistance.
- Transport Your Vehicle Arrange to have your vehicle taken to a licensed repair facility.
- Describe the Issue Explain your concerns to the repair facility and authorize the necessary diagnosis. They will need to determine the cause of the failure.
- Contact Us Once the issue is diagnosed, call our claims department at 877-514-2142 for further assistance.
Where can I take my vehicle to get repaired?
You can take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility of your choice. Make sure the repair shop is properly certified and equipped to handle your vehicle’s repairs. If you need assistance finding a repair facility, feel free to contact our support team.
I’ve had a mechanical breakdown – who will tow my vehicle?
If your vehicle needs to be towed, contact Roadside Assistance at 877-514-2142, then press prompt 1 for NSD (Nation Safe Drivers). They will assist you in arranging a tow to a licensed repair facility.
Who is going to pay the shop for the repair, and how?
All authorized benefits are paid directly to the licensed repair facility via direct credit card payment or check. Payment is processed after we receive confirmation of the completed repair along with an invoice from the repair facility.
Do you pay for all the parts and all the labor?
Labor times are verified using ALLDATA, a nationally recognized labor time manual. Approved replacement parts are covered, but their cost cannot exceed the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP).
How do I get a rental car?
Your contract has rental car assistance for covered failures, you will need to pay for the rental upfront. Afterward, you can submit your receipt for reimbursement according to the terms of your contract.
Why must I keep maintenance records?
You must keep verifiable service receipts to show that maintenance was done within the required time and mileage limits. Without proper maintenance, your contract excludes benefits for any damage caused.
